Air Fryer Crisp Potato Chips

Posted on by Ultima Cosa
Ingredients:

- 2 large russet potatoes, peeled
- 2 tablespoons canola oil, divided
- 1 teaspoon sea salt, divided
- Cooking spray

Directions: 1. Cut the potatoes into very thin slices using a mandoline or a sharp knife. Place them in a large bowl of cold water and soak for 15 minutes. Drain and repeat with fresh water for another 15 minutes. 2. Drain the potatoes again and pat them dry with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. Transfer them to a large bowl and toss with 1 tablespoon of oil and 1/2 teaspoon of salt until well coated. 3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 10 minutes. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. 4. Working in batches, arrange the potato slices in a single layer on the basket, leaving some space between them for even cooking. Air fry for 15 to 18 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the chips every 5 minutes, until golden and crisp. 5. Transfer the chips to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. Sprinkle with more salt if desired. Repeat with the remaining potato slices, oil, and salt. 6. Enjoy your homemade air fryer potato chips as a snack or serve them with your favorite dip or sauce.
